ICS Ph.D positons 2012

The application procedure is closed since March 31, 2012.
At this moment it is not possible to apply for positions.

- The only way in which you can apply is by using our electronic application form.
- Please note that the application form has to be filled out in English.
- You will be asked in the application for which of the Ph.D projects you wish to apply.
- Please note that in addition you can propose your own research (in the format of the ICS proposals). This research project should be related to one of the ICS research themes for which Ph.D projects are offered.
- For further information about the background of the research themes, please consult the information about the research lines in which the project initiators are involved.
- Grade sheets and certificates of your degree (combined in one .pdf file) are a necessary requirement for your application to be taken into consideration.
This .pdf file may consist max. 10 MB.
Please note that we would like to receive (a scan of) the original grade sheet belonging to your Master's degree - or of your degree's so far, in case you have not yet finished your Master's programme -, a translation of it can be included if you think it is necessary for our understanding.
- Incomplete or fragmented applications as well as applications sent by regular post or e-mail will not be taken into consideration.
- Please note that in former years problems occured because of the many applicants applying at the same time at the last moment. We advise you to apply earlier if possible.

Interviews with candidates will take place May 10 & 11 in Groningen; May 14 & 15 in Utrecht.
Invitations for interviews will be sent by e-mail not before April 20, 2012.
The candidates who are offered a PhD position at the ICS will hear from us week 21 at the latest.
Candidates will be appointed per September 1, 2012.
