Grant for Aafke Komter for data collection NKPS
Aafke Komter (member NKPS-team)has been granted €695.000 for a third round of data collection NKPS (Netherlands Kinship Panel Study).
The Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (Program ‘Veranderingsstudies') financed €250.000, while the remaining part was financed by the KNAW and other sources. The NKPS-research aims at:
(a) describing the nature and strength of solidarity in family- and kinship relationships;
(b) explaining individual and soci0-structural differences in solidarity, and
(c) investigating consequences of solidarity for individual well-being.
Two rounds of data collection, financed by an NWO Investment Grant, have been completed.
